Holiday Quilt Raffle Fundraiser
ENTER TO WIN
From November 9 - December 18, 2018, Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge is selling raffle tickets to win a beautiful quilt handmade with love by one of our extraordinary volunteers. Let us tell you a little bit about her...
Rita spent the summer volunteering about 24 hours a week at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. She and her husband Gary are RV Volunteers, meaning that they travel the country in their RV, volunteering at federal lands in exchange for a place to park. If you visited this summer, you probably saw her sprucing up the pollinator garden, or she may have greeted you from the front desk! In her off time, she was acting as one of Santa's elves... Working on a very special project, with a very special purpose in mind.
When Rita told us what she was working on, we were so incredibly touched and couldn't wait to share the story with you. She has spent her time, talent and materials to create a winter themed cardinal quilt, and then DONATED it to us with the condition that we use it to raise funds for Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge!
That's where you come in. Help us honor Rita's request by purchasing raffle tickets today!
The quilt measures about 52.5" x 67.5". The possibilities for using or displaying this piece as part of your winter decor (or holiday gift giving?) are endless.
Tickets will be sold for $5 each from November 9, 2018 through December 18, 2018. You can purchase as many tickets as you would like. When you purchase online, we will email you with your ticket number(s). The winning ticket will be drawn on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 12pm EST via Facebook Live. The winner will be notified by phone following the drawing. You then have 24 hours to return our call or forfeit the prize and a second chance drawing will occur. If you win and happen to be out of town, we can hold the quilt for you to pick up at your leisure. Open to Ohio residents only.
