A Network of Friends

Refuge Friends are locally organized non-profit partners that support U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service national wildlife refuges, hatcheries, or wetland management districts. Friends group activities range from delivering educational programing and engaging local communities to restoring habitat for wildlife and conducting other conservation work. There are over 200 Friends groups supporting refuges across the country.

Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge collaborates with the Public Lands Alliance, the National Wildlife Refuge Association and the Coalition of Refuge Friends and Advocates in a large scale effort to protect federal public lands across the United States of America.
